We are excited to announce our Under-8 Spring schedule of “D-League” events. The focus of these events is purely developmental and highly encouraged for all players, especially those who are considering playing travel soccer in the future. We’ll be visiting other “local” communities and other “local” communities will be visiting us for these Sunday morning Game Days. This will be a great learning experience for our children. The Directors of Coaching, staff coaches, volunteer coaches and coordinators will allow for the game to be the teacher and work to promote a safe, challenging and enjoyable experience.
In order to PARTICIPATE, you must be an ASLA player on a current Rec. team who attends their team practices, PASS practices, and plays in their Saturday Rec. game each week. ie. Rec. practice and game participation is mandatory for you to participate in these Sunday games. We cannot adversely affect the Rec. program due to involvement in these supplemental games.
At the end of the Spring season you will be invited to participate in a local weekend tournament (additional fees will apply). Each player will receive a D-League jersey.
A competitive program offered to players age eight and up. All players must be a resident of Avon or attend school in Avon. Players must attend evaluations held in late May.
Home games may be held at Schwartz Park. Away games may be held in a variety of locations, most within a 10-30 minute commute.
All registrations received after player evaluations date (end of May) must pay a $30 (per registration) late fee.
A non-competitive league open to children residing in or attending school in Avon, Ohio. Games, about 45 minutes in duration, are played at Schwartz, Avon BOE and Northgate Parks. They are held typically on Saturdays but may also be on Thursdays or Fridays evenings. Most teams hold a practice once per week. Also training is offered 1x per week with a staff coach for all players U5 and up (PASS Training). Parents are encouraged to register as Coach or asst Coach.
All player assignments are done randomly and we do not accept special requests.
Your registration is not complete until we have received payment in full Payment must be received by ASLA within 7 days; otherwise the registration will be cancelled.
On-line Registration is easy and secure. ASLA is open to Avon residents ONLY except the U4 division.
Create an account where you will fill out family and household information. Then walk through the registration process to register for open programs. You can pay by credit card or check. This account will be available for future registrations so you will not have to re-enter your information.
We are a non-profit organization -- the success of our league is 100% dependent upon parental involvement. Parents are encouraged to volunteer their time in a variety of ways including: coaching, working at the snack bar, helping with field preparation, becoming a member of the board or more. You will be presented with certain volunteer opportunities during the registration process; if you can help out in other ways click here to send Avon Soccer an e-mail and let us know how you can help.
